Read-Only Users

Grant access to the system but prevent the users from making changes to data

It is not currently possible to apply a setting to a user to prevent them from making changes, however you can restrict the pages they have access to.

IF you wish your users to have access to view job information, grant them access to the "Job Control" and "Event Control" pages. User can search for jobs, view job information but will not be able to access other areas of the site to make changes.

Simply create a Role called e.g. "Read Only Users"

• Create a Role called e.g. "Read Only Users"

• Assign that Role to the sections : Job Control, Event Control, and any relevant reports

These pages will allow the user to view the job and event information but not be able to change any information.

Note: If you previously allowed all users access to these pages, and have now added them to this group, the system will nolonger give access to the pages to everyone, so other users who require access to the pages should also be added to a group which has access to these pages (they can be added to the new "Read Only" group or a different group).
