Roles

Restrict access to sections of the application to certain users.

Manage user roles by navigating to "Admin > Manage Roles"

A section is available to all users if no roles have been assigned. As soon as a role is assigned, that section is only available to users in the assigned Roles.

Creating Roles

This can be done by typing a name in the "New Role Name" text box, and click "Add Role". The new role will be available in the "Roles List" where you can assign it to any number of sections.

Assigning Roles to Sections

Choose the role you wish to grant access to a section, choose "Assign To" and choose all the sections you wish to grant the role access to. Click "Update Roles/Sections" button. The screen will change to represent the access by drawing a line between the Role and the assigned Sections.

Assigning Users to Roles

Users can be assigned to any number of roles. Users do not have to be assigned to a role, any users not assigned to any roles, will still have access to any sections not assigned to a role.

Select multiple users in the "Users" drop down list and choose multiple roels to assign the users to those roles. After saving the changes the screen will update to draw lines between the users and their assigned roles.

You can click the "eye" icon in the "Role" boxes to show only the users and sections assigned to that role.

You can unassign a user or role by choosing the User/Role and choose "Remove From" in the dropdown.
